Mars Orbiter Mission 2- Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to launch Mars Orbiter Mission 2 (MOM-2) to explore Mars further. Building upon the success of their predecessor, Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also known as Mangalyaan, this ambitious venture seeks to uncover more mysteries surrounding Mars’ geology, atmosphere and potential for life there.
India’s Mars Orbiter Mission, launched in 2013, marked their entry into a select group of spacefaring nations with Martian exploration capabilities. The primary objectives were to study Martian surface conditions, atmosphere and mineralogy while testing technological capabilities necessary for such an endeavor. MOM successfully accomplished these tasks and continues to send valuable data back to Earth.
