How to use Animal Randomization Tool?
- Open the Animal Randomization Tool in your web browser.
- Under the "Animal ID" label, type in a unique identifier for your animal. This could be a number or a name.
- Under the "Body Weight" label, type in the animal's body weight. You can use decimals for more precision.
- Click on the "Add Animal" button. The animal you just entered will be added to the list, and the fields will be cleared for you to enter another animal.
- Repeat steps 2-4 until you've entered all of your animals.
- After all animals are added, you have two ways to group them:6.1. Under the "Animals per Group" label, type in how many animals you want in each group. Click on the "Randomize Groups" button, and the tool will assign each animal to a group, attempting to ensure each group has roughly the same total body weight.6.2. Alternatively, under the "Number of Groups" label, type in how many groups you want to divide animals into. Click on the "Randomize Groups" button, and the tool will assign each animal to a group, dividing them into the number of groups you specified.
- The table below will display all animals with their IDs, body weights, and the group they have been assigned to.
- You can add more animals or change the group settings at any time. The table will be updated every time you click a button.
